Its a lovely capture, Im guessing you took it in a shop or at a zoo? I like your choice of angle, it works well with helping to blur the background and foreground, plus ensuring the Caimen stands out. Your aperture choice worked for this too. I bet you had to get down almost in the water for this
The composition is good, you have almost hit the rule of thirds with your positioning of the Caimen within the frame, although I would like to see slightly more space to the left of its head, which would push its eyes on oner of the thirds lines too making it evening more pleasing.
I am guessing there was harsh over head lighting. The light hitting the top of its head is a bit too harsh for my liking. I think maybe dialing down the ISO to 400 would reduce the harshness of that light whilst reducing the noise caused by high ISO in the background.
